Commercial Intern

My internship took place in the Summer of 2022 virtually where I worked as a commmercial intern for Quantix Supply Chain Solutions. I mainly collaborated with Quantix sales representatives to compile contract opportunities to then create an Excel table where opportunities could be viewed by the ordinal potential category to organize monthly potential contracts and their revenue that was then presented to senior executives. I also provided the Chief Commercial Officer best locations for railroad expansion after finding points of contacts to gather and compile company railyard data

Along with this, I choose to learn Power BI, a data vizualization tool, to help solve business problems. This consisted of creating dynamic table after compiling four years of weekly data showing North American rail carloads that could be was viewed in stacked columns by commodities and could be arranged by year, quarter, month, and week to be able to visualize the changing rates to improve financial opportunities. This dashboard can be seen below. I also created a dashboard where company dispatchers could choose a client name and timeline to view clients declined loads, lost revenue, and percent of total declines to improve customer satisfaction
